Quiet that opposite of yesterday …. I got out of bed at 8:00am today.  The co-pilot had already eaten breakfast and was bored.  I took Chopper for a walk and found a dog running around with a rope and collar.  I saw the dog of the walk yesterday and remember which Whiskey Tango site he belonged too.

So Chopper and I took him back and meet his owner … a late 20 something lady that looks like she is straight out of the sixties.  The hippie goddess lives in her VW van with her 10 year old son and their dog.  She seemed very happy but somehow I could not help but feel sorry for her.  Her plates were from Colorado and her son was not in school … made me think that she was running from something.

We make it back to the RV and pack up and hit the road.  We make the trek to Houston and the co-pilot drop $297 on patches … he is happy … 12 new patches for his collection.  Then we are off to Beaumont … where it was another good stop for the patch man.  To celebrate this fine day I took the co-pilot to the Golden Corral … one of his favorite stops while we are on the road.

After dinner we do the smart thing and call RV Parks in the area to see if they have availability.  We have run in to more full RV Parks this trip then all of our others combined … until this trip we never ran in to a full park.

irst call had room for us … we arrive at the park and it is a nice … excellent.  Well except for the rain that has made everything muddy, but the sites are concrete so it is good.  We get our site and get all set up and BAM the electricity does not work.  I go back to the office and the want me to buy a “Dog Bone” to connect to the 50 amp service … a $30 part.  Hell no!  I ask to move sites and as a consolation prize they gave me a “Dog Bone” to use for the night.

I get the electrical situation taken care of and take Chopper for a walk.  I took him for a LONG walk as he is a muddy mess from the walk … It is a one walk night.  We get back to the RV and I put Chops in the shower and clean him up.  Then it was time to clean the rolling shithouse.  Got it all cleaned up on the inside like a shiny nickel.

I do realize the blogs have lost some of the co-pilot zest … but the good news is I’m not tired of the trip yet … which is a good thing as we have another 17 days to go … it is just a matter of time before the zest is back  :^)
